Vaillancourt brothers, Adrien and Gérard bought the land to produce potatoes and breed a herd of Herford cows. Both Adrien and Gérard families worked hard for the improvement of the farm. This was Ferme Vaillancourt et Frères.
Adrien’s son Pierre and his wife Lucie decided to take over the farm (and add strawberry production.) The name of the farm has changed for Ferme Valupierre.
Construction of a packaging potatoes plan to supply fruits and vegetables distributors.
Ferme Valupierre is now specialised in potatoes production.
The farm gets expansion by buying other lands on the Island.
The farm is now packing more than 15 varieties of potatoes every year. We are producing round white potatoes, red potatoes, yellowfleshed potatoes, red skin with yellowflesh potatoes and the famous fingerling La Gabrielle de l’Ile d’Orléans.
Our family business never stops growing and its owners are constantly looking for innovation. Top quality potatoes are a priority. Throughout the years, Ferme Valupierre made its way on the market with its delicious potatoes and also for its reliability.
Caring for the environment, Ferme Valupierre grows its land in a responsible way. We are certified Canada GAP for food safety which is a garantee that we grow, pack and distribute potatoes with a traceability system.
